Protect Your License - Don't Plead Guilty

If you have received a speeding ticket, don't make the mistake of simply pleading guilty and mailing your ticket back to the court. When you plead guilty, you are accepting the penalties associated with that conviction, including: fines imposed by the court; points assessed against your driving record; any fees or Driver Responsibility Assessments imposed by DMV; increased insurance premiums; and the possible suspension or revocation of your driving privileges.

Before you act, speak with an experienced attorney who understands the consequences of your speeding violations. As your lawyer, I will use my experience and knowledge to protect your driver's license by determining if it is possible to obtain a reduction or an outright dismissal of your ticket.

I am Larry Trank, a speeding ticket defense attorney with more than 17 years of experience representing drivers who have been charged with speeding violations. From my law office in New Paltz, New York, I defend drivers throughout the Hudson Valley who have received speeding tickets on highways such as the New York State Thruway (I-87), Interstate 84 (I-84), and the Taconic State Parkway (TSP).

No Court Appearance Needed

You don't have to miss work or travel hours driving back and forth to court to handle your speeding ticket. As your lawyer, I can appear in Court on your behalf to fight your speeding violation.

Expensive Points

A single speeding violation can carry a penalty ranging from 3 point to 11 points. If you accumulate a total of 11 points in an 18-month period, DMV may suspend your driver's license. If you accumulate as few as 6 points on your driving record, you may be subject to the New York Driver Responsibility Assessment Program. This means that DMV will assess a financial penalty that you must pay to DMV every year for 3 years. This penalty is in addition to the original fine that you will have to pay the court for each of your violations.
